The Ilkeston Outlaws Under 16’s consists mainly of players moving up from last years U14 campaign.

All our coaches are Basketball England accredited

Competing in both the Nottingham Sherwood league as well as regionally within the Basketball England East Midlands D-League, The under 16’s are where players start to hone their skills and turn into competitive, senior basketball players.

Throughout their 2 year stay as an under 16, players are taught how to refine some of their more ‘wild’ skills, as well as learning how to add extra flair to their game to really step it up to the next level. The mindset of the team starts to change to a winning mentality and training gets harder, preparing them for the move up to the Under 18’s and potential college basketball for those who play basketball with their schools and sixth forms.
